Fisher's ATV World Coming to Pittsburg, NH July 16, 2011

Fisher's ATV World will be rolling into town on July 16th 2011 - Don't miss the opportunity to shake hands with one of ATV's top personalities!

The Great North Woods Riders ATV Club, Pittsburg NH is pleased to announce Brian Fisher of Outdoor Channel’s Fisher’s ATV World will be filming a program in Pittsburg July 16th. This is Fisher’s first visit to New Hampshire. Pittsburg is one stop of the 2011 Keepin' it Real Tour.

Brian will be here with his crew filming the show highlighting the trail system and will also have a meet and greet with fans. There will be lots of giveaways as well as the chance to enter to win the grand prize drawing at the end of the year. The events for the day will take place at the The Yamaha Shop on the corner of Back Lake Road and Farr Road. Vendors and food concessions will also be available. Several manufacturers will be in attendance to offer demo rides - Here's your chance to test out a new ride !!! During the event there will be reciprocity of registrations with other states (only on the GNWR trail system).

Trails Open this Weekend in Pittsburg, New Hampshire

The trails in Pittsburg open on Friday the 27th - Crews have been out patching up some major wash-out problems and there are trails around the Indian Stream area that just won't be open in time.  Too many problems with too few volunteers but the few that did show last Saturday worked to make the trails safer for you and yours.

National Volunteer Week

National Volunteer Week is April 10-16, 2011

This may be a bit premature for the Great North Woods of New Hampshire but with the rain this am. and the warmer temperatures forecast for the rest of this week, serious snowmelt should occur exposing more and more of the trails we love to ride!

Welcome!

The 2011 ATV season is getting closer and closer with every day even though you'd never know it by looking outside!  There's still at least 3-4 feet of snow in the woods and the further north you go, the higher that number!  But let's let the snowmobilers have their season while we plan for ours... Our next meeting will be in April to be held at the Pittsburg Ridge Runners Clubhouse on Dickson Lane - off Back Lake Road near A. Scott Rd.  A time and date will come in another post so stay tuned......
